IPSC
What is IPSC? IPSC is the acronym for International Practical Shooting Confederation (world wide). The Prince Rupert Rod and Gun Club has an active group who are involved with IPSC. This is a diverse competition in Pistols, Rifles and Shotguns using various “stages” designed to challenge the competitors in Speed, Accuracy, and Power with pistols being the prominent platform here in Prince Rupert.

IPSC takes pistol shooting at the range to a whole new level. The courses of fire or “stages” can be simple or complex with some stages being as few as 9 rounds or as many as 32 rounds. Shooting on the move is common while engaging paper targets, steel plates, swinging targets, and pop up targets. These stages can give anyone of any ability plenty of fun and challenge.
It is a ton of fun!

Prince Rupert Rod and Gun makes getting involved fun and easy. Once you have your RPAL, look up our shooting schedule and our “Introduction to IPSC” night, and the rest is easy.
  • Attend our club matches as an observer or participate by enrolling in our Black Badge Course.
